You're right to make that suggestion because it would eliminate the hardware vs. software vs. user issues possibly, however, since this seems to be more common that just the two of us, i'm thinking its a software, either mighty rom or a windows dealie. |
Re: Tethering Issues
I know this info is not very helpful, but I'm on MightyRom 4.16 and just tried tethering and worked just fine. My laptop is on XP, I didn't even setup an activesync partnership. It actually disconnects from activesync when I use ICS.
Yeah, trying it on a different computer could possibly narrow the problem down to a phone issue or PC issue. |

I do use the latest version of WMwifirouter because I love the program, but WMwifi won't work unless you have a working copy of ICS first. ~John |
Re: Tethering Issues
let me see if i can make this clearer. i can teather no problem without the hack. as soon as i apply the hack my ics program connect button greys out. not even connected to pc.

Re: Tethering Issues
its not the usb cord, the computer has to install the right driver, the driver u need is ppc driver and when it doesnt work its because it installs the generic driver...im wondering that u have to have activesync on puter so it has the right driver, 2 puters i tested had act.syn on and it install right driver and ics worked fine, 1 puter had no activesync and it installed the generic driver, and wouldnt work, all 3 were winxp sp3 just fyi
