Yahoo Mail on TP ?
 

I love my Touch Pro and wanna get it for my wife... BUTTTT she likes her Centro (yikes) as it gives her one touch access to her Yahoo Mail/

And Yahoo Mail does not work on the stock email client on TP :(

Anyone cares to let me know is there is anything good for Yahoo Mail on TP please ?

I've flashed numerous different custom roms and had no problem setting up and using yahoo email on pocket outlook(stock email client). What problem were you having?

it takes a while to connect for the first time since it's trying to auto-adjust the settings to determine which one will work. after that, it should connect just fine. receiving yahoo email is free, but sending email through the yahoo server won't work unless you have a paid/premium yahoo mail account.

I am lost, I don't pay for yahoo mail and I get it on my TP and send emails as well. I think I maybe missing something?

Sorry, but that is not true. I've been using yahoo on my phone for a couple months and never paid for anything. And i send emails all the time. I have also set yahoo up on several customers phones and they had no problem either.

i disagree yahoo is used both ways from day 1 on my 6850

that's wierd. i can never send any email through the yahoo server using the auto smtp settings (via smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com). what settings are you guys using?

same setting here with both boxes checked. I never change any settings when ever i set it up. i wonder what's wrong with yours. What rom are you using?

well, that was silly. i finally figured out what was wrong. it refuses to send if the Network Connection in poutlook is set to use "The Internet", but it works fine if it uses "My ISP". "The Internet" was the default setting for every rom i've used (stock and custom). i always thought "The Internet" would default to the active data connection i'm currently using. apparently, it's not the same thing :???:
