MUSIC stops, HTC music player

I Have spent HOURS trying to figure this out. I THINK it has to do with playlists...which for me are mandatory.

So I ask you out there that use the HTC music player:

1. do have a problem with/without playlists?
2. is it related to album cover art for you?
3. what rom & version 2.1 or 2.5 & what carrier?
4. do you have a solution that works for you?
5. Is it possible to burn a rom using an older more reliable player?
6. Is it related to CDDB trying to add album art?
7. WTF is it?

I'm having a similar problem with my Vogue. Different roms, and different music players but it still freezes immediately once I try to play a song. Was working fine one day and then kaput. Anyone else having similar symptoms or know of a fix??

bump... for an old thread...

I was on the newest MR... My player wwas working fine until i updated all my music. I have about 3gb worth and now it takes forever to switch songs and play them, and when i do, they stop at the one minute mark...

Has anyone found a solution?

no- still getting freeze errors, not just in random spots.. i tried hard resetting it installing all the basic software and still getting the errors... wierd...
