Need help on how to fix a error 67 on touch pro
 

hi i new on this i flushed my touch pro winth merdins room the latest one and everything work very good, but i find out the when the bluetooth was on can't get into the internet, i went to conection tab on my phone and there was a something that it sais UPDATE PRI, and i did it, after that start giving me the pop up saing about the error, then i flashed to stock room to see if the fixed but not luck, can you guys help me please i dont know what to do. thanks for your help

Sounds like you have the wrong PRL. The PRL is carrier specific. Not sure how that would have happened because is sounds like you updated it through the phone and not manually.

Go here and download the latest version for your carrier and try to reinstall the PRL.

Be carefull i did the PRI update not to be confused with the PRL update and it correupted my data settings when looking @ the ##DATA# tab of epst. Sp I tried the restore option it cleared out all the feilds.

Worst part was the PRI update changed my msl so contacting sprint they would not help me bc the msl did not match the one listed for my phone.

I flashed back to stock to try and do a profile update to fix it but that gave me the error 1012.

I had to use Baffles msl grabber to get the new msl take the phone to sprint repair center give them the new msl they reprogrammed it for me.
All is well again and my msl is back to the one that it was originally.

PRI update is somtehing i won't be clicking on again. Now that my phone was fixxed i flashed back to silence 9 and everything still works.

I took a scrren shot of the good settings in the ##DATA# screen so if it happens again i can just put the info in there myself.

press ##3282# which spells DATA it will ask you for you MSL which is your lock code it is six digits. You can get this number from customer care by pressing *2 Send make sure to write it down and keep it. After you enter the MSL you will press menu and restore this will update your data profile and should fix your problem. if not just press ##and your MSL then # and press menu and ok and it will reprogram your phone.

Actually it looks like you dont have to Update a Prl because that is for roaming only (Preferred Roaming List) that has nothing to do with Prl you will need to go into Comm manager and shut off your data connection, then go into settings and update your data profile. This happened to me and this worked. I also work for Sprint and we *are not* supposed to give out Msl's as we can get in trouble. Dont ask for it straight out tell them you need it for the 3282 thing. Also while on the phne with them ask them to refresh your device this works as well. I had the error 1012 and I just played with it then I just did the abovee ssteps.

thats exacly what happen to my phone i did what you did and i took it to services but they couldnt fix it so they told me that they goint to order an other phone to me, thanks for your help

the problem its that the original msl number is not working so i got a other number with a program for that and i trid all that but i had no luck. but thanks a lot for your hel

I had exact same issue but managed to fix it. After flashing to the shipped ROM and then a hard reset, I used the msl grabber to get the code and access the MSL and then I called Sprint and told them that I was on a service call to manually insert the data into it (I made up some story about the phone crashing during a profile update) and got cut off. He then made me try a restore which didn't work and then gave me the data to enter manually. this alone still doesn't make it good though as after that, the tech told me to dial ##786# and then select restore. Once complete and hard resetted, the phone worked again, While still on the phone with the tech, we did a profile update and all was well! BTW, the MSL reverted back to the original after the profile update.

This needs to be stickied! 2 people in tech support, nor the sprint repair center could figure out the issue. I follow the above instructions, and now im back up and running:headbang:

I pretty sure I had the same issue as well. After 4 days of getting nowhere Sprint gave me a new TP. Now I am afraid to flash it....
Im going to take screenshots of my ##DATA# info, does anyone know what button combo works with the Ilum software screen grabber for the TP? (ie what button on the device corresponds with the App1 setting?)

I entered the ##786# but then it said I needed to enter a "code." Do you know where or how I can get that code?

Ive had this issue many times. It always seems to be the profile. They easily fix by programming a different phone to my line then re-programming my TP device. It also fixed other issues I was having with texting as well.

This should be a sticky, found it after taking the phone to a sprint tech at the tech center and the tech couldn't fix it and ordered another phone.

- Install .net compact 3.5
- Install the cab mentioned earlier
- ##786#
- Reset
- Update profile

this is an old thread but I just wanted to say that the steps outlined in post #19 resolved the same issue for me on Sprint as well.
