Losing Data Connection after WMWifiRouter

This has now happened twice to me. I installed WMWifiRouter (1.3) and used the default settings. Started it up and tethered to my MacbookPro just fine. Have to soft reset afterwards to get the battery charging ability back, but that's fine. However, now my data connection is gone. No email sync, PIE, weather downloads, etc... Phone and SMS is fine. Last time, it took a hard reset to fix it---worked fine. Finally got around to running it again, and the same thing has happened. I now have no data. Called VzW last time and they couldn't fix it.

Running Scott Crosler's 3rd ROM (6.1), and it has ICS in it.

Anyone know how to fix this before I have to hard reset again?

WOW, what a weird problem.

This won't help at all, but I have used the latest version of WMwifi on every single ROM I've ever run (probably 30 of them) & never had a problem like that.

I am running Mighty 4.16 now but I've also run all of scrosler's ROM's. I had terrible probleems getting WMwifi to work right in my TouchPro's, but the latest version fixed all that & it never affected my data connection.........

Yeah, some of the older versions I've noticed have a problem with changing registry settings and not setting them back.

I'm sorry bud, but the only thing you can really do is hard reset, or revert to a backup if you have one. :(

Thanks for the input. Hmmm.... maybe I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling WMWifiRouter first?

I'm having the exact same issue!!

It looks like WMWifirouter is definitely causing the problem. At first I thought it could be the custom ROM (btw: I'm running scott's ROM as well - build SSK 1.6)

Any luck? I tried a soft reset to no avail. I'll try uninstalling WMWifirouter next. Keep me posted.

I'd hate to do a hard reset.
