If your conscience permits, you could get a new Touch Pro through Sprint's Advance Exchange replacement site. as for giving old phones to the womens shelter, kmart in my area takes the off your hands and gives them to womens shelters also. they do really need the phones though. as for me helping one of our members, i would do it for anybody in need, plus its all about the ladies fellas, they make me smile. lol please do try to give old or broke phones to the shelters though. they will take broken ones also. thanx for the words also guys and girls.

to all those who suggested I get insurance now. That's a great idea and I thought of it years ago when my dog ate my phone. and it was a cheap phone! haha but you have to be able to answer the phone if you get insurance after it's already activated. So I couldn't even get a new tp, get insurance, then re activate old tp as the screen is broken and I can't program it to reactivate it.

I believe that you don't need to reactivated since it was already on your account. All you have to do is just swap the ESN online and you should be fine.

I have it since Dec so it's still new but not that new. And I just don't see why Assurion would not have me reactivate a phone in order to protect it. Otherwise how do I prove I actually have it in my possession and working? That is what they did several years ago, why would now be any different?

Not true. Here is what you do, but you gotta be familiar with the startup routine on your phone.

Install SOTI from the PC with your computer connected to Activesync. You will have to press the ok button to accept on the phone to install to main memory and ok to exit the installer. Once that is done you can view your phone from the computer when it is connected and you will be able to activate, back it up, hard reset, whatever you want even though the screen is broken, the image on your PC will be flawless. I used this many times in your same situation.
