WHY do I have to suffer with this crap!

I switched from VZW to sprint to get way from the cheapass touch pro. I live just outside augusta GA and I'm getting 5 bars and this is what I have to put up with-

Is there any option other than switching back to VZW? I really like the sprint TP over the VZW but connectivity is important. ](*,) I tried a few different radios and tested the speed in different places in augusta and it's all crap...... I used to get about 500 to 700 kbs with my poor old XV6700 on VZW and my VZW tp was maybe just a little slower than the 6700.

What's really weird is sometimes these tests start off really fast like over 1 mb/s and then it just dies down to .1-.2 mb/s after a few seconds. WTF I've had it with this crap.http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/%5BIMG%5Dh....jpg%5B/IMG%5D

Did you sign a contract with Sprint to get the phone?

If you bought the phone out right, not with the contract, couldn't you go back to Verizon and activate the Sprint Touch Pro on their network?

jmorton will be in here to explain the reason why VZW is superior, just wait!

As for your issue, have you tried going anywhere else to see if your speeds increase, maybe it's a faulty phone...?

I got it with a plan to save money but I'm in my 30 day trial period thank god. There's news all over the forums lately about sprint tp's on vzw running into trouble.

If I bought the phone outright, could I still get the total equipment protection? Would sprint cover the phone for damage if it wasn't on their network let alone not having a plan with them?

As for the sprint on vzw thread, I've read it and there's a few things I'm not clear on- do I have to have an existing phone on VZW and switch all the numbers over from that phone to the sprint TP?

Could someone with no VZW plan just call up VZW and get them to activate the modified sprint touch pro? It sounds like VZW is getting wise to this, but for some stupid reason they wont get wise to the fact that people want an GOOD phone!

Yes, you can put any phone purchased from anywhere on the insurance plan as long as you do it within 30 days. I have bought and added several this way and they are covered. Activation date is key, not who you purchased from. Good luck.
