BREW text messages??
 

Im on Verizon. Have the TP.

Why do I keep getting every couple hours text messages from:
118012222269

message:
//BREW:0104f4........ OZMAIL
CL=83221545......


This is happening often enough to be a PITA..

I got these when I first got my TP on Sprint. I believe, from what I can remember, that this is due to the IM program. If you forget to logoff before you shut down the program, it will send those messages to your phone. I think that is the case, and I hope it helps.

thanks, but i have never ran the IM Program. I have done a soft reset as well.. next time I get one, I will see what app is open I guess..

The issue..
I had an Env2 before I switched to this phone, on the env2, I had gmail set up. Prior to switching I SHOULD have deleted the email account off that phone. For some reason, the info is stored on Verizon, not the phone, because every email I got, I got a BREW txt message.. just very cryptic message.

here is how I finally did fix it.. I had 2 choices, re-enable the env2, and delete the mail account OR the easier one was to just change my gmail pw. That stopped the issue. Hope this helps someone else.
