Data connection keeps trying...
 

Hello,

My wife and I both have the Touch Pro's but even after all the added programs (advance config etc.) I still can't get her phone to stop occasionally trying to connect through Sprints data connection. It may seem weird but we don't use a data plan and I've actually blocked it on Sprints side since we just use WiFi.

My question is: Is there something other than the normal "Connection" settings to check that may be causing this? And I have checked the "no-brainer" things like automatic weather updates etc. I constantly go into Advance Config, under connections and make sure that Sprint is disabled and not enabled. Sometimes I even delete the whole thing but it will automatically make a new setting for itself.

And the main thing that is REALLY annoying is that it will be around 2-3 in the morning along with other random times. Saying "data connection error'.

Any program for this?

Do you have an email account configured? If so, thats what might be starting up your data. If, not, i know of a registry hack that can solve your issue, just gotta find it. :)

Yeah, that too :) Sounds like something keeps wanting to start a connection.
