Backlight on LCD refuses to change.
The title says it all, I guess...
I have no programs installed that will automatically (or otherwise) adjust the backlight settings. When I go to the Power Settings and change the backlight levels, nothing happens. Not so much as a flicker. When I install something like Lumos, calibrate it (the light sensor is functioning), and tell it to do its thing... the backlight doesn't change. All of this is even after (several...) soft-resetting. Can anyone shed some light (haha) on my situation? |
Re: Backlight on LCD refuses to change.
ya know, the other day was the first time i tried to adjust my backlight and i noticed i couldnt adjust mine either, both the internal and external power sliders seemed locked... i figured it was part of battery tweak i installed though

Re: Backlight on LCD refuses to change.
My problem was WKTask, it was calling the wrong function (in the options menu) for "Battery" backlight levels. I changed the function it called, and BAM! problem solved.

Re: Backlight on LCD refuses to change.
Just to be sure, if you haven't unchecked "Auto adjust backlight", nothing you do will change the settings.
