My gmail account won't sync using Mighty Rom 4.15
 

It was working perfect on the stock rom and now it won't sync. I know the name and password is right.

what errors are you getting? are you using POP3 or IMAP?

for email name you're using your email address, not just your username, right?

username@gmail.com, not just username.

Yes i got the full email address in. I even logged in on my PC to be sure it was right.

I had Flexmail do this to me once and the error was related to too many IMAP connections at once. Try it with all other PC/IMAP mail clients shut down.

I'm using MightMikes ROM 4.15 as well and got it to sync perfectly. Try hard resetting the device. Sometimes when you flash I feel like some random things get left over and is still not perfectly clean. The ROM was tweaking out in funky ways (like I had 4 email accounts in TF3D, 2 of which were invisible and I couldn't delete or see) until I hard reset again and the problems disappeared.

For example, if you have Thurderbird or any other IMAP client running on a PC or anywhere else just close the application. Then try to sync on your Pro again.

I just hard reset twice and its still not working. When i check my gmail hooked to the PC or of it goes back the the name and pass screen and says make sure info is correct and try again.

I'm not sure if this would cause a problem, but are did you make sure that when you create the account you typed in the email as something that doesn't end in gmail.com? You have to type for example like username@g.com to make sure it doesn't auto populate the fields and automatically create a POP3 email account. Also make sure to not try to get the email settings automatically when it asks.

Also try with a different gmail account to see if its a problem with your gmail account letting you access it offweb.

Ok i don't know whats up but i made a new gmail account and it works. For some reason its not being allowed to sync with my main account.

Make sure the settings in your Gmail allow for POP3 or IMAP connections, it might be that your account is rejecting outside mail downloads. Might even be locked because you put in the wrong password too many times.

All the settings are right and i never put in the wrong password. I can log into it from a internet browser just fine on the pro and PC. Just not through the touch flow screen.

Not re-flashing again. Did that crap 4 times and it still won't sync so F it! Made a new gmail and i'll use that one.

Once I had the same problem, knew the user name and password were correct without any doubt what-so-ever... I knew they were right
After checking and checking and checking and... well you get it... I found out that I spelled IMAP as IMPA..
if I were you'd I'd just retype all settings...
Just for the fun of it, login to your gmail account and check the setting and double make sure that IMAP is enabled

Another thing that I've run into with Gmail is either a character or the length of your password causes problems. I've had both happen, too long and "invalid" character even though when you log in using the website it works just fine. Could try changing your password too... I promise you the problem you're having is simple, don't try so hard.

Yes it is. It has to be the account because like i said i made another Gmail account and it works perfect on the mighty rom like the first account did on the stock rom. I don't even care about the other account anymore.

I'm having this exact same issue. It first showed up on MightyRom 4.15, and it's still not working after flashing to the Mighty TF3D2 Beta-2. Going to try flashing to something else to see if it's Mighty's build that is causing it.

I had the same problem with the newest Juicy rom. I just got done flashing to Mighty 4.16 and now it is working again.

Flashed mighty rom 4.16 and now the account that did not work on the pro works. It was something with 4.15

were you using the first edition 4.15? i know mike released the 4.15 and then they found the email issue that killed just about any email and rather than do a hot fix he fixed it in the rom and then re-released it about an hour later but it was still labeled 4.15

Check SSL and Authentication information when you setup your email, also once you run through the initial setup go through the settings agian to have access to additional options. make sure your account is setup through your pc to accept imap (log into gmail and such). Also try including the port numbers specfic to the servers. Ex: smtp.live.ca:993
