windows 6.5 on TP
 

How do i get windows 6.5 on my device like the one shown in this video: http://pocketnow.com/index.php?a=por...t=news&id=7082

Is it a cab file, a rom that I need to flash. What one is the best right now for CMDA Touch pros?

A WM6.5 install would almost certainly be a ROM flash. I believe folks on XDA got their hands on a 6.5 ROM but had to take it down because they were issued a cease and desist from MS. You'll probably have a wait a little while longer before developers create a stable ROM for the TP.

You have to flash to it, you'll lose all your data and have to reinstall everything that isn't already thrown into the ROM by the maker.

Go to the CDMA Touch Pro upgrades section and look for JD's ROM...best i've tried so far as far as 6.5 goes...

A word of warning, it's still a work in progress. Pretty damn good though.

yeah, let me be clear, i'm not saying that to be mean, it's really gonna save you alot of frustration if you put in the time to understand what you're doing before you just go and do it and panic when you think you've bricked your phone...

front m experience i have to agree. using a rom that is STILL BETA here on ppcgeeks should b attempted by knowledgable users only. u should wait until the bugs r out so to speak. i tried upgrading early on my mogul with no2chems and we all got hit by a timebomb. knowing what we know now, it makes it easier to do. but i was sooo frustrated i almost gave up. it is an extreme example, but i learned A LOT A. BUT I WOULD STICK WITH 6.1 FOR NOW IF I WERE U. wait until all if not the majority of cookers are using 6.5. and FYI i believe the S A D was bogus on MS coming down.
so have a good one and hope u r careful and research fully any ROM u try 2 cook.

great advice guy thank you, have been non stop researching this stuff since December and I still no very little...its overwhelming. I got xBoxMods TF3D to work on my phone but when back to my back up because of to many bugs, I think I will just wait this out until its bug free. Hard to wait though...\


When do you think 6.5 will become a stable ROM, is this something that is going to be beta until its officially release?
