Video call to home pc
 

I am looking for a way to make a video call to my home pc from my sprint HTC Touch Pro. Could some one please point me in the right direction?

That would be cool...definately. Unfortunately at this time, I have no idea if that would be possible...That's a lot of bandwidth, i believe.

i tried it and it was laggy,buggy and slow (the program it self)
i use QIK sometimes its the best to stream something, downside is its one way audio and video
but u can try muting QIK and running skype at the same time, it will overload the cpu though

cant happen...

now u can use QIK.. http://qik.com this is an app on your phone that streams live to the web.. whoever u want to view, simply send em to qik.com/yourcreatednamehere and turn on the app and they can see and hear you....

however now that i think about it, u woouldnt be able to hear them, they can IM you on the view page, but it shows up on your screen(which isnt facing u since the camera is)..

so this will give u one way video calling i guess..

well this realy sucks!!!!!! Im waiting for some one I know to get a phone with the ability to video call. All i want to do now is try it out. This will make me nuts until I do.

the GSM versions can, CDMA cant do Voice and Data at the same time. correct me if im wrong please.

Thats also why you can see a front facing secondary camera on GSM versions of the TP the Diamond and the Touch HD.

AT&T versions do not have the forward facing camera and they are GSM. You can do voice and data at the same time, just not nativly. You have to use web based streaming and like said before, it's only one way...as of now. But you are correct, CDMA radios nativly can't do voice and data at the same time. Maybe with the TP 2 or Palm pre?
