Question about .NET Compact Framework Update :?:

So I downloaded a collection of apps, tweaks, and games from another thread, and the ones I used installed fine. The problem I ran into was when I tried to run some of the programs, it's coming up with an error telling me I have to quit because my .NET Compact Framework is not the newest version. I've been trying to update it but for some reason it's just not working. Anyone know how I can go about fixing this problem?
Thanks.

I think 3.5 has been the latest for awhile.

Seeing the title of this thread, I was thinking to myself, oh my, just when I was getting used to the quirks in 3.5 they went and made a new one :D .
