Alltel Caller-ID (where it shows you where the call is from)
When I moved to custom roms from the stock alltel rom I noticed that there is no more external caller id, a feature i really liked. Is it a reg tweak that isn't applied in cooked roms? my guess if anyone is still on stock alltel is look under HKLM/software/HTC/PHONE for a setting for external caller-id.

Re: External Caller-ID
I have never heard of it giving you the origin of the call, just whatever you have in your contacts. There was a thread somewhere for when you called a number, the dialer would display the location of the call.

Re: External Caller-ID
I think he's talking about name display guys, for rogers gsm phones, a rilphone.dll from a rogers rom was required to make it display full caller id tags, probably the same sort of situation on your phone

Re: External Caller-ID
ill flash back to alltel's stock rom tonight and take a picture
Edit: the reason i called it external is because the network, i think, supplies the information comparted to internal from your contacts ;) |
