Verizon Enhanced Messaging Service Error FIXED
 

Let me start off by saying that I take NO credit what so ever for creating this cab. The credit for this cab goes to Calkulins. With that said here goes.

If you're one of the Verizon TouchPRO users that receives the first 160 characters of a text message, then receives another text message stating "preceding msg modified, media objects removed", then this cab should solve your problem.

What I have noticed though, is I will receive the text messages over 160 characters in multi-parts but still get the error "preceding msg modified, media objects removed".

When I first tried to install this cab it gave me an error saying it couldnt install blah blah blah...I soft reset my phone and it installed fine. After you install this cab soft reset your phone and you should be all set.

im still getting those preceding message errors after installing this. at first it didnt install then i rebooted like u said and it installed then i sent a long txt from another fone and still got the error message

hmmm I wonder if the ROM im using has something to do with it too..Are you using the stock rom?

No its not the same fix..that fix never worked for me..But Calkulins cab did. That other fix adds a registry edit called EMSHandlerInstalled.

well there is something fishy going on then because this cab and the cab our of mightyroms thread (old verizon one) are binary equal. So i must ask...did you remove the above key form the other thread before installing this.

note they are both cauklins. however until i did the reg key from the other thread multi part sms (ems) didnt work properly. At least i get the messages now. even tho i still get the error
