text message's time dont reflect actual time
 

anyone have this problem? my text message's time does not match or reflect the actual time, sometimes they will be several hours off. is there a fix or a patch for this anyone know of?

Ya i had that issue for a while, it was very annoying.

Navigate to the following registry location
HKLM\Software\OEM\SMS

Create the following new DWORD.

Name: RecvTimeStamp
DWORD Data: 1
Base: Dec

dude, you get a thanks for that. i have been trying to get my phone to show me the sent time instead of the received time for weeks.

reg edit didnt help cant seem to find it

if you dont have that reg you need to create it.


BUT if you want it to show the time the message was sent instead of when it was received then you need to change Dword from 1 to 0. i have tested it with 2 different text and it has shown the sent time instead of the received time.

OH, and once you create/mod the reg exit out of reg editor and then do a soft reset.

I dont seem to have a reg beggining with "HKLM"

HKLM means HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

so if we didnt have have thie Dword at all but was the phone doing?
