I didn't need to apply a patch and mine updated this morning with the update. I noticed that most people who had that problem used galarm, whats so nice about g alarm, i noticed many of you using that?

Re: Daylight Savings.....

I don't have g-alarm and I received a notification this morning that the time was updated, but it really wasn't. I tried everything I could think of before finally just installing the patch. I don't know why it seems to be different for different people.

Re: Daylight Savings.....

guys i found this out today:
- DST on Verizon (not sure about Sprint) is updated automatically as a time sync through settings -> phone -> services -> time sync. If it's not updated, just force an update and you should be fine... Resetting the phone sometimes helps too
- The patch that everyone talks about is for windows mobile devices that do not automatically sync time. If you apply that patch, in theory, windows should change the time for you, however your phone eventually will still sync with the tower, so the combine effect may screw up the time (this is just a theory)
- If you have advanced config tool, you will notice that DST updating is turned OFF (even though the default says to enable). This confirms with point #1 above that the tower sync should take care of updating for you. If you changed it, as I did the first time not knowingly, you might want to disable it again. In other words, the corresponding reg key HKLM/software/microsoft/clock/autoDST should be set to 0.

I would recommend not applying the patch and force a sync--this solved my problem. Hope this helps.

Uhh. G alarm getting the wrong blame here.

I am running on Juicy ROM and i have g-alarm installed. Woke up to the alarm going off this morning, turn the alarm off, noticed there was a message on the screen about the clock being changed due to daylight savings. its not g-alarm
