Does any USB Headset work with the TP?
 

After seeing that the USB port on the TP seems to work with any regular USB cable I assumed any USB headset would also work. I bought this at the local Fry's but it doesn't work at all. I don't know however whether or not I bought a bad one, there's an issue with my custom ROM, or if a special USB headset is in fact required (one with the same shape, etc).

You either need a 11pin ExtUSB to 3.5mm adapter, or OEM headphones designed to work with HTC's propriety ExtUSB plug. Most of the common USB headphone you find in stores are designed to work with Motorola phones, and are not compatible with HTC products

The 11pin ExtUSB to 3.5mm adapter looks like this and one end plugs into the phone and the other end you plug your regular headphones into.

Wow, you got me, I thought any mini usb head set would have worked. In fact I was looking for one. :(
