Alternate SMS
 

Guys, did a search for this but couldn't find it.

Basically, I have found a lot of great ROMs and I would have stuck with one for a while if it hadn't been for the SMS program. There is so much crap wrong with it.

1) The keyboard is always laggy.
2) SMS don't all clear when I open the message, I have to scroll down the page to clear them all.
3) TF3D doesn't recognize that I have cleared the message.

I am on SSK 1.5 B2B

for 1 I have tried the diable t9 trick, still slow as heck. I have also tried that whole changing the delay in the Registry.

For 2 and 3 I have no idea what to do, I have searched and found nothing.

The hard thing about searching is that if you don't know what you are looking for, it is hard to search...so please don't flame me with the whole "Search you freaking N00B" stuff.

I have had a ton of different WM phones and they all do the same thing, so i doubt that it is a hardware issue, but if it is, I can take it back since I have TEP.

No sir, that doesn't do it. It happens in every ROM...even after hard reset. There is no answer so far for the lag, that is why I am asking for an alternate SMS prog. Does anyone know if the palm sms works for the TP?

UGH...if only the two could be merged... I like the finger friendly UI with the first and the features in the second.

MY GOODNESS! the smsathand is AMAZING, it intergrates with the ROM so well. I am even on WinMo 6.5 and it is awesome!

Does SMS at Hand solve the laggy hardware keyboard problem?

Sorry, forgot to include that it does. It seems weird that I can type at the same rate that the words apear haha. as I said, it I am using 6.5, so somethings seems a little weird...Actually the only thing is that my phone won't vibrate or make a sound to notify me that I have received a message...maybe this doesn't happen in 6.1.

does this fully integrate with the windows mobile i like sms chat but you cant make it default on the phone :-(. Can you make the sms at hand default and so you dont have to select the program each time you want to make an sms, and you can just use the standard touchflo and it wil go to it automatically (or like it changes the windows sms program and makes it better?)

Where did you get 6.5?? Is it stable for you?
