push-gmail issue (message won't send)
I’ve been having a problem whenever trying to send out an email via my Sprint Touch Pro’s push-gmail. I found several people with the same issue on xda archives through google, but none of them had the issue solved.
A “messaging” entitled box pops up saying: “The message(s) could not be sent. Check that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct. Then try sending again.” I have no idea what’s wrong here because it used to work fine but not anymore. Is there something that needs to be changed in settings or something? As always, I’ll give you ‘thanks’ if you help me out. |

I get this every now and then also. So far no solution. I just wait a while and try again and the message usually gets sent.

This started happening when gmail released it's new app crap. The only work around is to delete gmail from your phone, and configure it manually. Your phone is trying to set up POP for your gmail and it should be imap....just goto your gmail website and there is a link on how to set it up.

Have you tried applying the Microsoft POP and IMAP mail patch to your phone?

Did you use the advance setting and check both security options, if you dont check them, it wont work.

Just go to set the options for the email account inbox -> Menu -> Tools -> Options -> *account name that you want to configure* -> Edit account settings -> next x4 -> enter in the SMTP server and check both, as well as advance server settigns, check the boxes for Require SSL for incoming and outgoing email and press done -> next x2 -> finish -> ok
If that doesnt work then I don't know what else you can do... GL |
