ok i need some help with this because i havent found the solution....
i am using mighty rom 4.1.2 and i cant get email all it does is say connecting logging on looking for changes then it disconnects.... it doesnt pull any email from my gmail account

It's because someone is watching you and your TP knows this and is scared......

Seriously though, I use sprint stock rom, and ever since Google made changes with their app crap, I haven't been able to either....

you need to enter the info for your gmail account manually... you can't use the settings it finds on the internet. If you go to your gmail account, sign in, go to help, and search "windows mobile" it should be the first result. Basically the setting your phone is trying to use are POP settings and they should be IMAP settings. The gmail page will walk you through step by step.

well, if you've done the easy stuff like soft reset, maybe even delete the email account and re-set it up. then mayb reflashing that rom mite help..oh, can u browse the web ok?
