Sprint TV is blocked from TV Out.

Sure you don't have a faulty video in on the TV or a bad cable?

Just downloaded a movie, an .avi file. I'm using tcmp to play it on my lcd tv, however there is dull humming noise in the background. I played with some of the settings in tcmp and couldn't get the noise to go away. It is very noticeable when the movie is paused, so I'm thinking it is a TV connection problem?

I searched for "hum" and "humming" and couldn't find anything in this thread. Nobody else has experienced this? Or knows how to fix it?

You definitely haven't searched hard enough. It's purely a factor of how low your source's volume (the Avi in this case) in relation to the tv out source. Other programs and source's may not have that buzz. To minimize it, have the program and the touch pro's volume maxed out - and minimize the volume on the TV. Or try the opposite - I can't remember which was optimal.

If you definitely want to play that movie on your tv with tv out - perhaps the best way is to reencode the movie while amplifying the audio. With a program like virtualdub.

I just bought a camcorder a/v cable off of eBay that has a 3.5mm end. At first all I got was scrammbled picture then I switched the yellow and red ends around and presto it works. Like said before it is wired a little different. Now I have picture and stereo sound. Awesome find guys. Hope this helps someone out.

Tonight I'm going to dissect my multimedia adapter and I'm going to figure out exactly which cables are for what, then I'm going to take some monster cables i have laying around and solder them into a mini usb connection the same way they are coming out of the multimedia adapter.

I'm thinking if I can have a stronger feed coming from the plug, the image will improve. Right now it's itsy bitsy little wires with cheap soldering.
