Location based sound profile switching?

I'm not even sure if this exists yet, but here's what I'd like to do.

I can already set the sound profile to Normal, Vibrate, Silent, or Automatic. What I'd like to do is have that profile automatically changed based on GPS coordinates. Either when I'm within a certain radius of a single point, or if I have to define 3 or more points to make a polygon, either way would work.

Basically what I want to be able to do is keep the profile on Automatic, so it's on vibrate when Outlook has me as being busy, but ALSO have it go on vibrate if I'm in a predefined location.

Is there any way to do this? Or should I start looking for a WinMo and/or Qualcomm SDK?

Actually there is one. Here you go http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=477919 Not by GPS cordinates but by predifined appointments

I believe phoneAlarm supports this. I remember having the ability to do this one one of my phones though I can't remember if it was WinMo or my N95.

The problem with this is you'll kill your battery trying to keep current GPS fixes. Even 1 fix every 30 minutes between 8am-5pm uses about 40% of your battery, so it's just not practical.

Couple that with the need to fully wake the phone up to get a fix, and the weird behavior of every now and then completely locking up the GPS, and you can see that this is one of those really cool ideas that just isn't practical.
