Call Connect Sound

Hello, recently, I have noticed my phone will play a short sound (not even a second long) when I call someone. I do see the setting to vibrate on call connect (which I like), but not sure where I can set it to play a sound (or not play a sound) when the call connects.

I looked in System --> Sounds, but don't see an option there. I believe this started after I installed PocketShield (then uninstalled a few days later), but not 100% sure.

Has anyone run into this problem?

Thanks.

Settings>Phone>Sounds>Ring Type>Ring Tone what ring tone type do you have here?, maybe you changed to a system ring tone type when sending and receiving.I have mine set to Alert Facet so it does not drown out VC when getting caller ID annouce thru BT

That part works OK. That is for an incoming call. What I am referring to is when I dial a phone number. For example, go to Start --> Settings --> Phone --> Advanced tab. There is the setting to vibrate on call connection (it is checked, as I want it to be). The short sound I am referring to occurs when I dial a number. I was hoping there would be a setting on this screen to control if a sound is played in addition to vibrate, but I don't see it.....

Yeah, I have had that happen to me too. The problem for me is that I flash roms so often, it fixed itself before I took the time to figure out the source.

Are you on stock Sprint or have you flashed a custom rom?

Yeah, I'm on the stock Sprint rom. I might install PocketShield again and look through the options to see if there is something that is causing what is happening. I'm 90% sure this started around the time I installed PocketShield. Maybe when I uninstalled it, there was a setting that didn't get reverted back to what it was before?

Well since I don't use PocketShield I know that is not what caused it for me, but good luck figuring it out and sorry that I couldn't help you more.

OK, well thanks for the info. It isn't really affecting the functionality of the phone, I can still do everything I need, just more of an annoyance than anything else. Thanks again.

Re: Call Connect Sound

Try this setting and see what it does...

Code:

;Misc Sounds Controlled by "Scripts"
;====================================
; disable sounds when initiating/ending a call
[HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\Dialing]
Script=""

Check out my Customizing Rom Sounds tutorial for more info on other sounds...
