Texting after MightyROM 4.11
 

I was just wondering if anyone was having problems with their SMS messaging after flashing the latest mighty rom. Apparently the people who ive recently texted are getting duplicates over and over. Just wondering if this has anything to do with flashing the new rom or if it just my service tweaking out. Thanks!

I had this problem on my diamond. You have to go to settings >>clear storage..enter the numbers there and do a hard reset that way. What's happening is your messages are getting stuck in the outbox and keep sending and sending and sending..good way to annoy the piss out of people lol

avanced config, diamond tweak, sms tweaker, and the sms option in settings all say threaded, but its still classic (yes, i did soft recet). no softkeys, and 1/2 of them do not send or r recieved hours later

I am having the exact same issue. Think I will go back to 4.10 til he gets it fixed...

Had the problem as well. FYI: I found that if I did not restore my text messages with PIM, that it would not send multiple texts.

yeah, i just had to do a hard reset and it fixed the problem. i would say this is the best way as long as you have your contacts and whatnot backed up using PIM backup

I don't think this is a problem specific to MightyROM 4.11, or MightyROM in general -- from what I've been able to tell so far this can happen with pretty much any custom ROM flash if you don't do a hard reset / clear storage after completing the flash.

(This was confusing for me at first too, I thought that doing a ROM flash pretty much wiped out the entire contents of the device in the process, equivalent to a hard reset -- but apparently not...)
