Alltel AGPS fast satellite lock
 

I upgrade from a titan and remembered using shadow-techs AGPS mod and figured I would try it for the touch pro. I could not find the GPS one tab in qpst but I applied the following registry edit and got a GPS lock of nine satellites in less than 10 seconds. This is for alltel phones only but the other carriers AGPS servers can be found at http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=402134. All credit goes to shadow-tech for his original post in the titan forums.


1. Open a PPC Registry Editor
2. Navigate to the folder [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\SUPL AGPS]
3. Set these values:
---------- GPSMode = 2
---------- ServerIP = 205.142.19.100 ---See post #2 if your not on Alltel!
---------- ServerPort = 8888 ---See post #2 if your not on Alltel!
4. Exit, Save
5. Soft Reset
