yes it it. on your pro go to start>settings>voice command and make sure it's enabled. then tap on messaging and make sure it's checked. then check announce new messages and uncheck high priority messages. and please hit my thanks button if this works.

i dont believe it works on pdf voice command can read your incoming calls texts and emails it also lets you voice dial and other things

I see this option, but it is not EVERY text I want to be read aloud. I would like to be able to use the speech engine on que. What I would imagine being perfect is to be able to highlight text/paragraph/website, and just pop up a quick menu and select "read aloud" option and it reads whatever you have selected. Is there anyway to get a reading option like this? I know it has the capabilities to read, I just need to be able to read what I want.

For example, if I am driving, I would want to be able to select an option to read my text, but if I am at work, I do not want it to read my text (which could be private).

That is a bad idea if you are out with your girlfriend and then some other girl texts you 'last night was so amazing, can't wait to see you again' and your phone reads it out loud.

OK this is much more exspensive then MS Voice Command but it will read everything on the phone, including .pdf that someone was asking about.

i wonder if it does speech to text. it says compose but i'm not sure if that's what i'm looking for. have you tried it yet?

Yes, I have tried it and it does do text to speach. It will read just about anything you can get on the phone, including emails, menus, dialogs, word files, excel files, pdf files, etc. There is a free 30 day trial.

That is SO cool, my LG env used to read me my texts and I missed it so much. I had no idea my TP could even do this. I'd thank you twice if I could but I cant so here a verbal one for ya, THANKS!
