Gmail problem with Opera(s0

I have been running the stock Opera on my TP from Verizon. I access my mail just as from a desktop. The stock Opera has problems with formating pages but is mostly usable. When I tried to use the latest Beta version from the Opera website, I could not get Gmail to load any pages. What can I do to fix the problems(s)

I may be too inexperineced with WiMo and Opera, but the only problems I am having are with web based Gmail, not other sites.

Which is the latest Opera that I should be trying this fix on?

I'm just curious, but wouldn't it be easier to just set up your gmail account in messaging?

Perhaps, but that is not my current goal.

I use Opera Mobile Version 15613, and my internet gmail works well. I do have it set in basic HTML mode rather than Standard view, which I use on my laptop. Both settings seem to peacefully coexist. If you decide to install 15613, be sure to kill the opera process with dot fred task manager, before installing.

wmdunn, why do you have it in basic HTML view versus standard mode(which I use on the stock Opera and desktop)?
I do not understand the part about kill the opera process with dot fred task manager before installing. Can you explain further?
