Got eager...flashed rom before activation?
 

Now Im not able to connect to any data services. Should I flash to stock then re-activate the phone? Or should it not matter. (using Mighty Rom 4.9.5)

I believe if you call Sprint, they would be able to give you the log in information. They will just give you the MSL, and tell you where to input what numbers/usernames. I don't think it should matter, since it is still a ROM built for Sprint, so the basic configuration shouldn't matter. Good luck though!

they are trouble shooting now, but are asking for an icon under settings that isnt there(update profile)

me thinks I should've set it up first(activated my new[replacement] TP), then flashed it. My old TP was working just fine :( Just wanted one without the scratches...

I think Sprint changed something where this Update Profile button needs to be hit for it to work. I had Juggalo's 0.05 ROM On my wife's touch pro not too long ago and it worked fine. She had the chrome issue with her's so we swapped it out; obviously a newer version. I then went to put 0.05 back on it and the phone data didn't work. I called Sprint and they wanted me to hit that update profile button too; however that button wasn't in Juggalo's 0.05 ROM. So, I updated her's to 0.08, which does have the update Profile and Update PRL button; problem solved.

With that said, you need to either swap back to the stock ROM or install a ROM that can update the profile. (If the button is there, I don't know how else to do it?)

I tried to DL the stock rom from the rom thread, but the .nbh isn't working like the custom roms where you click and it installs on its own.

just flashed to a stock rom(its installing now) Whats in that cab JD?

I do plan on going back to the mighty rom as soon as I get my data working.

(the sprint tech never told me to turn off my old phone last night, and I was receiving text messages to my de-activated phone as well as the new one)

the cab is to update your profile(data profile).

Internet was working on the stock rom, and is not working on the mighty rom...Not sure what to do :( It was working fine of my other TP.

Did you do a hard reset after you flashed mighty's rom?

Try the cab I posted and click on the update profile once installed and see if that works

Man what frustrastion...Ive flashed back to stock...everything works.


Then I just put mighty Back on...no data...

NOW active sync wont event sync so I haven't been able to try the cab.

Try going back to stock and then transfer the cab to your sd card

try start/ settings/ connections/ usb to pc then uncheck the box that says enable faster data....

The cab works for sure. I know because I've used it.

If you can't do activesync then just connect the phone as an external hard drive and transfer it to the microsd card.

I had nearly the same problem last night, with a new-in-box TouchPro. I flashed it to latest MightyROM BEFORE I called and transfered my number over from my old Mogul. So after flashing and then 'activating' the phone, I could send and receive calls and texts - but no data plan. It would actually dial the #777 and connect, but it wouldnt authenticate me to download any data.

I spent about an hour screwing around with sprint tech support before they suggested to do the 'update profile' program, which of course WAS MISSING from my settings page because I was on the mightyROM.

I gave up on tech support, came back to this forum and found the Update Profile and PRL .cab in about 5 mins. Installed the .CAB to main memory. Then under Settings>System , I clicked on the "Update PRL icon" first, let it run, soft reset. Then went back and clicked the 2nd icon (the "Update Profile " icon), ran that. Finally soft reboot and voila! Data was working at top speed!

Yeah, that's what I had to do also. Once I ran the update profile in on the stock rom, everything worked fine for all other roms afterwards.
