Does Voice Command Anoounce Calls?
I was looking into the Voice Command options and there is an option that says that the TP can announce incoming calls. I checked the box but to no avil is it announcing incoming calls. Question is does it really work... and if so how do you make it work?

Re: Does Voice Command Anoounce Calls?
I want to learn how it announces texts/emails too. I tried reading the documentation that MS provides, but it makes no mention of the feature since it seems to be new.

Re: Does Voice Command Anoounce Calls?
hold up,easy
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\TTSAnnounce\Category change from VoiceCommand1 to Ring HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\TTSAnnounce\Script change from as5p to v0p (that's v-zero-p) - for vibrate & ring, or p (ring only) The reg above is to enable announcing callers,it works and it is working Announcing text and email is just a matter of going to setting/VC/ check option you like. |
Re: Does Voice Command Anoounce Calls?

Re: Does Voice Command Anoounce Calls?
STart--Setting--Personal--Voice Command-- make sure it is enabled--To announce calls select phone then options and there is a box you have to check that states announce incming calls-You then select notifications and choose if you want it through bluetooth only or you can select bluetooth and speaker. What ever you want the phone to announce it can be found in the Voice Command section which is located under the settings--then personal tab

When I made the above changes it stopped attempting to announce on the bluetooth headset. Before these changes any ringtone would go through my bluetooth headset. I get the annoucement through the speaker but does not annouce via bluetooth which is how I have the settings. Annouce using bluetooth handsfree only. Any suggestions? |
Re: Does Voice Command Anoounce Calls?
Did you check the VC settings, settings in reg that you changed? It worked perfect for me. Maybe you should check the ringtone stettings and check none in ringer, so it is just VC.

Well I think I figured this out. This only works for bluetooth headsets only. If you have a stereo headset it annouces through the spearker. I tried it on my Jabra 8040 first and annoucement came through phone speaker. Trird on my Plantronics 925 and it worked as it should. Go figure? |
