Locking Default Touch Pro Dialer
So after establishing a call via the default Touch Pro dialer, I've managed to hang up on people on several occasions when I accidentally hit a button with my ear/face on teh touch screen. Most common is mute or end call.....
While S2U2 can blank the screen, I'm looking for alternatives. What sort of dialers do people use and how do they prevent accidental soft button pushes in call? (disabling TF3D isn't an option for me) I think I've seen in the screen shot of SOME rom a "shade" which covers the soft button area in the call status screen. Ideally I'd like somethign that I can slide down/over which then enables the soft buttons, but I'd always liek to see the call summary stuff (like Who and how long) |
Re: Locking Default Touch Pro Dialer
.....turn the screen off after the call is connected??

Re: Locking Default Touch Pro Dialer
I prefer it left on so I can see the call duration/status -- but ty for your input.
Anybody else? |
Re: Locking Default Touch Pro Dialer
The problem I have with just turning the screen off is that if you get another call or text message the screen turns back on. Once the screen is back on and the phone is against your face anything can happen. Also if I'm caring my phone on my hip and a text or call comes in the screen is back on and the buttons are getting pressed. This is very frustrating as I have inadvertently called many people without knowing about it.

Re: Locking Default Touch Pro Dialer
My screen turns off when i'm in a call, and I set my hard end key to lock the phone, so whenever i'm done with it, just hold it fora sec and forget about it.

Re: Locking Default Touch Pro Dialer
Look into a program called PocketShield, it has a built in Slide to Answer dialer if you choose to use it. There is also a standalone Slide 2 Answer program.

Dark,
Thank you for your recommendation. I will also look into Pocket SHield. I stumbled upon what I was looking for at XDA a few minutes ago... I was looking for S2A... unfortunately I'm having trouble loading the one I want. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...466519&page=25 Will keep playing around with it. |
