TCPMP Abnormality

I have tried 4 different versions of TCPMP. From the original .72RC1 to .72RC1 VP6 and something else before trying MobileDefinintionTV_Stroth.

My trouble is that the play, the fast forward, the stop, the screen shift and the volume button are all blacked out. If I press on the space where it should be it highlights momentarily and works, but then drops into its murky abyss.

I am running 4.95 from Mighty Mike, with the black/blue coloring from LilRico and very little else on the phone.

Please help make sense of this. No one else has mentioned this problem, what have I messed up?

Dave

Thanks Gemfy, I did try the HTC Black before posting without success but on your suggestion I tried the default and there it is.

Guy, I don't believe you are saying this and MightyMikes ROM RULE dude and has nothing to with just what you are talking about.. They are suppose to be BLACKED OUT/GRAYED OUT UNTIL YOU ACTIVATE PARAMETERS. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure this one out, come man. Why? You will not take your time, read and learn about the TCPMP player {FILE} {OPTIONS}. You are making something hard that's so easy, right in front of your face, come on dude...:laughing3:

I too have experienced the TCPMP that the OP is talking about. Even though TCPMP is supposed to be greyed out, you should still be able to tell where the buttons are because of a small change in colour on the buttons. In this case, the buttons are not just "greyed/blacked out" but completely gone. I have run it under Juggalo's, Mightymike's and the stock TELUS rom, and all of them seem to have this issue. I am thinking that it must just be a glitch as I ran TCPMP on the P4000 with no problems. But easy Technology1, you might profess to be an expert in your world, but no need to belittle someone for asking a question. He wasn't crapping on Mightymike's ROM, he was asking if he had done something wrong.......the only thing wrong here was your response:!:

it's because of sprint's black taskbar themes. i switched to another theme under the today screen settings and the buttons are now there.

See, you have gone slam smooth to the left, you are right! I'm wrong and this is right in front of his face, but I'm wrong. This is telling me you are just like him, you don't erven know what time it is or what the man is saying, one touch action, but I'm wrong for giving a hint to the man to use his head, but I'm wrong and you are correct, yeah right.....{LOL}:laughing3:

Re: TCPMP Abnormality

i have the same problem with the stock rom where the buttons are black. I've used TCPMP since the 6700 days so i've already memorized the button layout (play, foward, stop - ain't too hard). The buttons still work, you just can't see them because they are camouflaged in the back layout.

The point of forums is not to be a pompous a-hole, but to help the community when people have questions. I hate it when people don't bother to answer the question and post "Use search, go Google it, or Duplicate thread!!" I leave that job up to the mods, you don't have to show off that you know way more and that the OPs question is below you.

He's just saying that your response was a little rude. What's the purpose of trying to be mean to the OP? He just came in here asking a question. There was really no need to be a jerk in this case.

If everybody gave a response like that every time someone asks what they perceive as a simple question, well I guess people will think twice about posting in here, because they don't want to be ridiculed.
