Long time lurker - finally have an answer to something! lol

Settings > Input (under Personal) > Word Completion tab. If you have the Suggest words when entering text box unchecked, just do the following.

Check the box for 'Suggest words when entering text'. Change 'Suggest after entering' to 1 letter, then uncheck the box again.

I don't know why, but for some reason when I did this, as soon as I start typing a person's name in the text message field now, their name pops up. At first it was set to 7 letters, and I started typing out someone's email address to send a text to and after 7 letters, their name came up with the email address next to it. I changed it to 1, and now as soon as I type someone's name (with 1 selected), I automatically get to choose the contact I want.
