Re: My internet tab
Can I replace the url with a file location in order to launch something like facebook app?
I'm assuming it would look something like <Link Text="Facebook" NavigateUrl="file:////Program Files/Facebook/Facebook.exe" ImagePath="\Application Data\Manila\Icons\facebook.png" /> or <Link Text="Facebook" NavigateUrl="\Program Files\Facebook\Facebook.exe" ImagePath="\Application Data\Manila\Icons\facebook.png" /> |
Re: My internet tab
I also have this ^^^^ same question. I want to get rid of the globe, add shortcuts for Skyfire, Oprea, IE, Live Search, Windows Live, Pocket Express, keep the YouTube shortcut, and then add a few shortcuts to some web sites. Is this possible?
|
Re: My internet tab
OK I found out how to change it to launch a program instead of a url.
I added a shortcut to launch Live Search so it looks like this: <Link Text="Live Search" Executable="/Program Files/Live Search/Livesearch.exe" ImagePath="\Application Data\Manila\Icons\livesearch.png" /> |

Re: My internet tab
I'd like to keep the big globe that says launch browser. How can I do that?
Basically, what I'd like to do is take any app that needs an internet connection and add it just a donkey has shown, but I don't want to use this thread's xml file because if I read it correctly, it doesn't that big globe anymore does it? |
Re: My internet tab
Yes installing the cab posted in the first link will get rid of the globe. You want something like this http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=579258&postcount=139

Re: My internet tab
Thanks for the reply. I see this in his xml file:
<Banner DefaultImagePath="\Windows\HTC\Assets\Images\Inter netPortal\banner.qtc" SelectedImagePath="\Windows\HTC\Assets\Images\Inte rnetPortal\banner_selected.qtc" Text="Launch Browser" Width="240" Height="107" /> But how does it know to launch the opera9.exe and not like skyfire? Also, what are the dimensions to the png file? |
Re: My internet tab
What does your globe launch now? I had mine set up to launch skyfire using Ssmapa. I got rid of the globe since sometimes I use Opera or IE. Now I have all three in the internet tab.
I used 50x50 for the .png files and saved them on transparent background. |
