Stop TP from prompting active sync/disk drive
 

Hey geekers,
i have been using the usb port built into the front of my car's radio to charge my TP while on the go. It does a better job than my old 6700 car charger does.

However, whenever i plugin the TP to the radio, i get the disk drive/active sync prompt, then my radio gives me an error because it tries (and fails) to use the TP as USB mass storage. I am pretty sure that by eliminating the two middle pins from my USB cable (the end that plugs directly into the radio), i can stop the TP from trying to connect, and just charge. Then when i use an un-modified USB cable, i will get the prompt again.

I was wondering if anyone has dealt with this before or if i will kill anything by trying this. Maybe someone will even adopt this idea for their own use.
