Phone activates on keyboard slide...

Ok I've spent the last 20 mins searching for a fix to this. All I've found is people saying they have the problem but no solutions.
My phone is kept in my pocket just about all the time.
So the keyboard will be moving a little here and there, I do not want the phone activating the screen everytime this happens. I currently have S2U2 installed and it works great, however I do not see a setting to shut this down.

When the phone is sleeping I want the only way to enable it is to press the power button. I don't even want it to wake up when I get a text. Just vibrate/audible notice and the light blink.

Is there a way to do this? Cab file, reg tweak? I am comfy doing my own reg tweaks if there is no programs out that allow this.

Your keyboard moves around enough in your pocket to activate your phone? My phone is not even close to being in the condition of doing that, and if it was I'd have it replaced.

I for one like the feature of having it unlock, etc. when the keyboard is opened. I'd think 99% of cases someone wants to use the device when they open the keyboard after all.

I am one of those people who wish this did not happen. I used to have a PPC6700 and when I locked the phone, it would not unlock after sliding the keyboard open. This way, I could allow my son to play with my phone and not worry about him making a phone call accidently. With my Touch Pro, unfortunately I can't do this because he can easily unlock the phone by pulling the keyboard out.

im not saying the thing opens completly in my pocket... but just enough to turn the screen on and help drain the battery faster then it needs to. ;)

Really? My 6700 actually turned itself on and unlocked itself whenever the keyboard slid out while the Mogul I always had to hit the power button...

Thanks for the post. Been wondering about this reg hack also. Hate for the phone to wake by keyboard slide.

Thanks!

Edit: Just applied the reg hack and it works beautifully. I think this will help with my battery life. I am always pulling my phone out of my pocket and its on becuz of this. I also have this habit of holding my phone in my hand and sliding the keyboard open slightly over and over and over again.......kind of like a nervous twitch. But my screen would always come on, so this will definitely help my battery life!

Anyway this can be done as a CAB for a cleaner install/unistall.
