Re: WM Wifi Router
haha i use it all the time i recomend it its worth it but its better if u get the latest version the 125 works better on tp
|
Re: WM Wifi Router
Yeah this thing works awesome on the TP, I used it the other day as a wireless usb adapter to get WIFI access on my computer (not 3G/EVDO actual WIFI).
Its pretty sweet that you can turn your phone into a 3G wireless router that multiple PCs can connect too. Also this works great with Mac's for mobile broadband access, no messing around with BT or USB drivers, just connect using Airport. |

Re: WM Wifi Router
WMWiFi is an excellent program and well worth the money. It is one of those things I've been doing with my WM phones for the past year or two that I would hate to give up to move to another device.
|
Re: WM Wifi Router
Its a fantastic program. I still use version .81 when it was still free. I've only used it once since I got my TP but it was working perfect. The newer versions is like $20 or so, but if you are poor like me and there are freeware versions around, I would look for the wmwifirouter thats .91 or earlier.
The only problem I would say is that it tends to heat up the device a bit, and since the TP is already prone to overheating, I can't imagine it would be any better than when I used my Mogul. |

WMWifi Router is Awesome!! Works perfect on my TP

Re: WM Wifi Router
WMWifi Router is well worth the money, I use it everyday and its great. With the heat issue on the phone I only get this when I use the Wifi option. I have an bluetooth enabled laptop and use the WMWifi Router with the bluetooth option and no heat issue with the phone. Bluetooth uses less battery consumption.

Re: WM Wifi Router
WMWifi is a great program to use, but the only problem ive encounter is when your phone is plug in to the wall to charge and using the software at the same time. Your phone will stop charging. So basically, it will drain the battery. The creator knows this problem and so far no fix.

Re: WM Wifi Router
Well, if you are in a cold area you can just do what I do and take the battery cover off while using WmWiFi, and leave it propped up just outside a window, or if you have double windows like me just open the outside window and put it in the middle with the inside window closed. Keep it cold enough and it will keep 100% charge even while downloading/streaming etc. ;)

Re: WM Wifi Router
Ok, So I am having the GAYEST time with wm wifi router, and even just strait USB tethering.
Can some one please give me steps for doing this? For Wifi router, I installed the ICS or whatever .cab, but when I run wifi router says it is waiting on ICS forever. So then it won't work. When I tether it, I installed the "tethering" fix cab from Smartphonejunkie.com and then hit internet sharing, and it does nothing. Says it is identifying, yet on my phone it says it is connected....? What am I doing wrong? I have looked through all the posts and just can't seem to put it together...Thanks everyone who helps! |

Any advised on this? |
Re: WM Wifi Router
use phone as modem.. and then contact spritn and inform them you would like to add the phone as modem plan to you current plan.. thats the correct way in addition to paying for wmwifi router, to gain acces to the phone being used to tether to you pc or laptop..
and if you pay sprint, you wont need the ics hack, or wmwifi router at all.. you could chose to use wm in additon to gain the wifi and bluetooth support it adds to a tethering session |

Re: WM Wifi Router
Simply Everything does not include PAM, you will need to add on phone as modem.
WMWifiRouter turns your phone into a wireless wifi access point. It is commercial software you may purchase or download a free trial from the website others posted. Using WmWifiRouter may violate your terms of service if you lack a Phone as Modem plan. See your service provider for full details. Otherwise, yeah, if you need this functionality, the product works as advertised. |

Re: WM Wifi Router
WMWiFiRouter v1.25 (build 600) is NOT FREE and is indeed considered warez, so there's no need for much investigation on this one, and I'll take much pleasure in removing this file after you got thanked a few times for this, which was by a few sets of blind eyes.
