Two Mail Questions

I have 2 questions about the Pocket Outlook program on the Touch Pro. My first question is, why don't I have an option for my send/receive schedule to receive "As items arrive" for my gmail account like I do for my hotmail account? I've read some posts where people say they have their gmail setting set to "As items arrive" to have their email seem like it's a "push" type. I have my gmail setup they way it says to on their site (IMAP). I just wanted to know why I don't have that option. The most frequent on I have is "Every 5 minutes".

My second question is, why doesn't my Voice Command read off my hotmail emails like it does for my gmail? It gives me the sound notification when I get the emails, but Voice Command doesn't read them to me. I just wanted to know why it reads off my gmail, but not my hotmail.

Re: Two Mail Questions

To answer your first question the windows live program allows you to have your hotmail/live email pushed directly to your phone. All other e-mail accounts (unless you are using an exchange server) only have the option to have it log in and check for new mail at the selected increments, not push. However, you can use a 3rd party client like Seven to get your gmail pushed directly to your phone.

As for your second question, unfortunately I do not know. I don't use the feature. I'm sure someone who does will come along soon and answer that one for you.

Thanks for answering my first question.
Can anyone answer my second question?

I couldn't have answered either. Saying "thanks" is nice, but clicking the Thanks button is nicer! Hafrust, I just activated my new TP last night and this will be soooo nice to know before I start get everything set up.

Re: Two Mail Questions

I just looked around in my Voice Command options and was curious if you had toggled any of the settings in there? Mine, by default, is set to only announce high priority messages, announce messages only through Bluetooth, and only during free time. Like I said before, I don't use this program, but there aren't too many options to change settings.
