[SOLVED] International Text Messages Problem
Ok, this is turning into a big issue.
Some program keeps sending international text messages, to number: 4476248802625 which customer support said is in the united kingdom. I had 10 last month, and 4 already this month with one sent at about 1 pm while I've been sitting here at work. I'm getting charged .20 cents a piece and this is getting a little out of hand... it was 6 two months ago, 10 last month, and I've got four alrady and it's only the fifth. They are OUTGOING messages, I am not recieving anything in return, and the sent messges box on my phone doesn't show these numbers. I had a large list of [no sender] [no message] messages in my sent box, but they have been there for a while for some reason, and I finally cleared them out. List of installed programs: DREAM ROM 1.2 ageye G-Alarm Andreas Falke Weather Database Editor Badboy8813 Audio fix- (Lite Boost) BAF MSL Grabber Diamond MP3 Trimmer Elite Force Lumos FinixNOver FInix_VGA_Battery_Icons_Only Google Maps GravityMobile MusicID (Shazam, not cingular-branded... I haven't even started this program today, I guessed this was it, but since I haven't even run it...) JDB PocketShield Magnifoca Inc Skybook MoDaCo AppToDate Palringo Resco Explorer Resco FTP Add-in Resco Registry Add-in Ruppy Super Arcade sahoopes CapSure SEVEN ShoZu Mobile Skyfire Browser Snailslug TouchResponse Sprint Picture Mail Sprint SprintTV tnyynt SD TuneUP Trinket Software PowerSMS tsowen taskbar waku WkTASK Wei Enterprises nueLight3 Wei Enterprises nueMinutes Wei Enterprises nuePowerCPL Wei Enterprises nuePower Driver for Diamond All of those I have installed myself, and this is apparently a long running problem. I last soft reset my phone at around 1, and that seems to be when the text message was sent - whenever I soft reset my phone. If that were the case though, I would have way more texts as my phone never makes it 24 hours without being soft reset. Suggestions to find and stop this before it gets way out of hand? Edit: Caused by SEVEN |
Re: International Text Messages Problem
have you thought of backing up and doing a hard reset and then installing each program one by one til you figure it out

Re: International Text Messages Problem
Seven Beta causes this. Take a look at post 10 in this thread.

I did a little more looking and the number is an Isle of Man number, so it seems like they are based there. I'm just going to uninstall it now and go back to regular old e-mail... my battery will thank me too. Such a shame :( |
Re: International Text Messages Problem
Yeah...I gave up on them a while back. I set up a live.com email and just have my other email forwarded there so I don't miss anything on my phone.

I've got it set to forward messages to my gmail account but the problem is that it's hard to set up a filter when the majority of messages that come to me go under a weird To: such as #allstudents, or even worse, sometimes #eng101f07 for the specific class. The whole e-mail system here seriously sucks. Eh, I hope they get this corrected. |
Re: [SOLVED] International Text Messages Problem
Shadow, it does not look like they have an immediate solution yet. Check out this thread on Seven support forum that some of us here have participated. hope that clears up a bit more.
