Multiple Hotmail accounts on TP?
 

I've look all over the web and found the answer that you can not have more than one hotmail account in WM 6.1.

Is this really true? I was really wondering if someone here might have this working for multiple accounts. Any help on this? Any possible way of doing this?

I am pretty sure that is correct since hotmail uses Windows Live to work correctly.

I know I speak a lot about Seven but it allows me to have two live accounts... Stop using windows live and switch to Seven, that is, if you use the push mail. Seven is push-based so you'll notice a little more battery drain.

I thought you could have more hotmail accounts if you used a different sign in and password for each?

That is true if you have two different aol, gmail, ect but not for hotmail. hotmail uses windows live so you have push email. I really hope windows 7 fixes this.

Gator, in order to do that , each time you will have to delete one mail box and set the other , no convenient, no workee, no good:-({|=

you can forward from one hotmail account to another.

I hate to revive this old thread, but it looks like now Hotmail allows you to use POP3!

I am guessing you can setup multiple accounts as long as you use pop3 within pocket Outlook instead of using windows live (which would be one account but push)

Setting up e-mail accounts manually, you can then enter the following:

POP server: pop3.live.com
POP SSL required? Yes
User name: Your Windows Live ID, for example yourname@hotmail.com
Password: The password you usually use to sign in to Hotmail or Windows Live
SMTP server: smtp.live.com
Authentication required? Yes (this matches your POP username and password)
TLS/SSL required? Yes

If I don't get the manual set up option, I just enter a mistake on the e-mail account name such as "....@homail.com" it then gives the option to enter manually. Good luck.:occasion5:

i got 6 total email accounts between msn, hotmail and live. i have all of them doing autoforward to one account and that one account connected to my tp. this way it doesnt drain the battery and i dont have to go email account skipping
