Phantom Notification Issue
I tried searching and didn't seem to find a thread/post about this issue.
My phone has "Phantom Notifications". After I get my first notification after a soft reset and clear it, once it wakes up from suspend mode, I often have the "Phantom Notification". Every time I get it, the left soft key turns into the "Notifications" soft key, and when I click it, nothing happens. 3/4ths of the time when I'm getting the "Phantom Notifications", the notification bubble shows up at the top of my screen. When I click it it brings me to the system status screen but there's no notification waiting for me. This issue is extremely annoying. It won't go away until I soft reset again. Does anyone else have this issue? I'm using the Sprint Touch Pro with the stock 1.03.651.4 Rom. Thanks in advance! |
Re: Phantom Notification Issue
I have not seen this but I am not on the stock ROM. Perhaps some cab you installed did something.
I did see something similar on my old Touch in regards to voicemial. |
Re: Phantom Notification Issue
Why not turn notifications off?
Settings > Personal Tab > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications Tab > disable all "Display message on screen" |
Re: Phantom Notification Issue
I still want notifications. I just want to know why I'm getting notifications that don't really exist that I can't clear.
But thanks. |
Re: Phantom Notification Issue
If you have sktools, go to message files. from there u can delete ghost notifications that wont clear. worked for me at least.

Re: Phantom Notification Issue
Do they keep coming back? And were they the same type of "notifications" I'm getting?

Re: Phantom Notification Issue
Can also try memmaid. Remove entries from your notification queue.
