Tasks on the Home screen
 

Hi

I was wondering if there is a way to have the tasks show up on the home screen like the calendar appointments do?

I've wondered this myself, but have not found a way to have them display. The only thing I can do is set a reminder for a task. Any help here would be great. I find that I have more 'tasks' than appointments anyways.

Tasks are the ignored stepchild of PIM function on WinMo. I don't think even S2u2 shows them. I guess we need a tasks tab? I use Pocket Informant myself, but having something in the TF3d home screen would be nice

I've been wondering as well. I decided that, since my email inbox is my de facto task list, I'd use Jott to simply send reminders there.

Now that Jott's a paid service, I haven't yet found a good replacement, so I send myself text messages, and use my TF3D text page as my task list. Not ideal, but it works for me.

Well - I'm glad I'm not the only one missing this. I have more tasks then calendar appointments and almost no missed calls - not that I answer my calls - I just don't get many calls. Anyone know how hard it is to create a new tab that would display tasks that are due for the day?

Would that be available through a cooked ROM? I haven't dug into the options when cooking your own ROM.

Has anyone every figured this out, tasks on the home screen or a tasks tab? (without exterior progs)

What are you guys talking about, both S2U2 and my Home screen in TouchFLO show my upcoming appointments

I just have my Tasks app as one of my apps in my launcher but yes I have to click on it to look at/edit them. I believe there is a setting in the tasks app that you can set reminders for certain tasks. I haven't used it though.I bet you could make a mortscript app to display tasks on the home screen. I can't do it but I'm sure someone could.
