WMP Buffering

Ok, I know this has been mentioned many times, but WMP video playback, for lack of a better term, sucks. Its choppy.
I know there are a lot of alternative MPs out there like TCPMP and Coreplayer, but I want to know if there is anything that can be done with the stock WMP, like maybe changing it buffer. I have looked through the registry and saw some things that look like they may be buffer size preferences and have tried adjusting them, but with no good outcome.

Has anyone been able to successfully adjust WMP so that video playback is "good"?

Thanks

I haven't had trouble with my playback. Are you running extraordinarily high resolution or anything? I've only experienced 'choppy' playback when streaming. I could test a similar video if you're using downloaded content.

Actually, I'll have to check again the resolution.
The video itself was an "Around the Net" podcast from G4.
I used the RSS Hub to download it.
