Phone dialer and conference calls
I hope this message comes out alright, I am using my phone to post it. So on to my questions. I have a verizon wireless touch pro that I love. However, there are two big things that are bothering me about it. One, I hate having to use the winmo default dialer in order to get my calls without any lag. I have tried other dialers, but none seem to have what I want in them. Some are very quick, but dont look good at all. Others replace the touchflo dialer and look good, but are just too slow. What I am looking for is a dialer with decent speed and also looks good and has buttons for conference calls. I dont know if it is possible, but I would also like to be able to add in incoming calls to form a conference call. As of right now, I have to call both parties to zetup a conference call. It would be nice to have the feature like the blackberry where you can choose to join the two calls regardless of who made the call.
On a side note, has anyone noticed that you have to use the on screen send key to make a conference call? If I try to use the hardware send key on my phone, I cant make a conference call. I just found that weird. Thanks for your time and help. I hope there is something that works for me |
Re: Phone dialer and conference calls
I guess theres nothing that fits my needs. However, doesnt anyone know how to join the two calls like on the blackberry? Is that possible? Again, I know how to do it if I call both parties, but not if they call me.

Re: Phone dialer and conference calls
There are a lot of dialers out there. I have a Sprint TP so I'm not sure how different yours may be but I'd suggest searching the forum for dialer threads and using trial and error until you find one that you like.

Re: Phone dialer and conference calls
Look into Iconsoft PhonEx v 1.2 or Inesoft Phone v 4.4
Both have good dialers and there's not much lag. Iconsoft PhonEx had a one ring lag when I tried it. |

Re: Phone dialer and conference calls
How can I turn off the TF3d Dialer?

Re: Phone dialer and conference calls
Use advanced config to disable the htc dialer. Or do this:
-'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / Security / Phone / Skin' -change the value of 'Enabled' from 1 to 0. |
Re: Phone dialer and conference calls
So is there no way to join in an incoming call while already on the phone? I havent been able to figure this out or how to do it. Id stick with the winmo dialer if I could just get that to work.

Re: Phone dialer and conference calls
I could be wrong, and if I am I'm sure someone will say, but I don't think it is possible to find a Dialer that will let you join conference calls from within the UI...
I have seen them only on GSM Windows Mobile phones (like my first Windows Mobile phone)l. And I understood the way of it happening for me on Sprint is a CDMA limitation. That is just my interpretation though I haven't researched the specs to know for certain. |
