Camera Issue: Pixels destroyed under bright light
 

I'm having an issue with ALL of the photos I take. Whenever there's something bright like light reflecting off skin or the light around a lamp, the pixels get corrupted to hell. I have all the camera settings to default (I think), I've tried taking photos to the phone and to my storage card, it doesn't seem to make a difference.

The photos look GREAT on my phone, but once I look at them on my PC they look terrible. This made me think it was an issue with file transferring, but I just tried emailing a photo to myself from my phone and the same issue is occurring.

The issue is VERY obvious on full size images, I just took this one to show you all. It's a small image, but you can still see the obvious pixel corruption on the highlights (my forehead & cheeks).

hmm, looks absolutely perfect on my end. I think your monitor plugs might be loose, either that or you're graphics card is messed up. The quality of the photo isn't much better/worse than one would expect of a phone camera.

Maybe that's the case. Something wrong with JPEGS being displayed on my PC or something. I've got a couple other PCs, I'll try on them.

Yeah they look fine for a camera picture...much better than most even. But with such a small lens that's just the nature of cell phone cameras :(

I'm on my other computer now.

Do you guys have LCD monitors? The images look like crap on both of my PCs. I'll take another photo.

I think it is because you aren't looking STRAIGHT at the picture, if you look at it at an awkward angle on your LCD screen you can clearly see a florescent patch on the areas he described.

Anyway, this is common on a camera with such a small lens like jsls said. It isn't a corruption, the only reason you see it on a PC rather than on your Phone is because the Touch Pro doesn't cover the same color range as the monitor you have (65.5k vs. several million different colors).

There is nothing you can really do about it, a camera phone only has a 4-5mm cube like camera sensor so there isnt much that can be expected of it, at least in this day and age.

I see your pixel corruption. Try adjusting the EV level.

This unfortunately seems like normal behavior for this camera. It's a reminder that it's not yet equivalent to a real digital still camera ...
