LOL no I'm not. You asked what brightness we use to reach optimal power....turning the brightness to off, when not in use, is how I get optimal power.

It's about saving battery life by adjusting the screen brightness right? Well, turning the screen off is the best way to do so. Just leave it on Auto, and turn the screen off when you aren't using it. My battery last just fine throughout the entire day, with about 4 hours of off and on browsing, 30 minutes of GPS use, and data always on for my IM services.

Not everyone, I didn't with my i760, and I wouldn't with this phone if it had decent battery life.

Samsung was smart and inset the screen into the device. Everyone says flush screens are better and I wonder what the hell they are talking about? On my i760, I never accidentally pushed something in my pocket, and I never has a screen protector on because I didn't have to work about scratches. Although most the time when I did put it in my pocket, the screen was off, but when I did forget, never accidentally hit something. I'm mostly talking about during the day when I'm at work with my phone at my desk or docked at my computer at home. At work, I like to be able to rest my device up against something so I can watch TV, or see the screen for anything else that may come up. It's an inconvenience to have to lean over and hit the power button just to see if anything has happened with my phone. It may be a small one, but I've see a lot of people complain about much smaller things, especially when it comes to a PPC. Would have been much better if HTC would have just used a bigger battery.

I use G-Light. I prefer it to lumos.

I used to use G-light but found the old versions extremely primitive when compared to Lumos, so now I use Lumos.

I don't have it to save battery, I have it to maintain an even screen brightness... The phone dies horribly when the screen is turned on, no matter what the brightness is at.

I was wondering why anyone would want their screen on at all times. I believe our phones turn the screen on automatically if there is any service activity (call, text, etc...). Just out of curiosity, what exactly are you checking your phone for?

Anything and everything. As far as I'm aware, there is no "Turn backlight on when a thread is started at PPCgeeks.com" option. If you find me one, I'd be happy to start turning my screen off again. Until then, I'll leave it on so I can easily see the web pages I'm looking at, or see what time it is, or if I have a new IM. Can't really do all of that with the screen off.
