touch pro wifi not working.
 

so ive been searching n reading about wifi on the touch pro not working. yet no one really gives a difinitive answer on how to fix it. mine turns on finds networks but wont connect to the networks. first off i have a non secured router i used for testing. no passwords. with hidden ssid. i checked settings wireless is on top. its set to server assigned address. everything seems in order. i added my network as hidden it sees it and trys to connect says 100% signal but times out and says unavalibule. i am looking for an aswer. would someone drop there other projects and perhaps Give this some brain power seeing as more then 15 ppl have noted this i'd say its common. forgive the poor spelling but someone needs to solve this.

Have you tried doing a hard reset. Could be many other variables, but not sure how to help you out. I'm not sure others will want to help you with that tone you used in the last sentence.

try: settings - connections - wireless LAN - power mode and select "Best Performance"

perhaps. soemtimes ppl need a swift kick in the butt to get motivated :P i've already made that setting to best. and checked ip settings. i tried reflashing the stock rom but same resolt :(

perhaps u need to take your own advice seeing as u just disrespectfully told me not to be disrespectful. perhaps practice what u preach?

either way if its not related to the topic don't bother posting it. i'm trying to find answers. not be disrespected.

What type of router? I was having the same problem until I upgraded the firmware on my router. Can anyone else connect through wifi?

My WiFi has worked on both encrypted WEP with broadcast SSID, and on an open network using a hidden SSID. WiFi has worked on the stock ROM and several of the SSK ROMs.

(I know that you said your router is unsecured... but, I would say that the issue of the devices seeing each other but not connecting is an issue of a handshake not being p***** between the devices. One is waiting to connect, the other is waiting for a password. So they just sit and wait.... ending up with a timed out connection. Double and triple check your settings on the phone and the router.

I had this problem on my Diamond... check this thread for ideas...
For me it was Mac Address Filtering turned on...
