Clue on why Sprint Picturemail CAB says 'sending' for so long...
 

Hey all,

As many of you know, it seems that when you send a picture mail on the Touch Pro using Sprint's CAB, that it will sit in the outbox and say "sending" for quite a while before it gets sent.

I just sent one, and watched it as it said "sending." About 2 minutes later, the screen got brighter, and the EVDO icon started moving, then the picture status changed to SENT.

Now, that leads me to believe that the picture was never trying to send until something happened 2 minutes later (auto timer, network check, data check, etc).

Will this help at all in finding out why it seems to not send instantly?

matt, when i first got my pro it took forever to send a picture. but i think after you use it for a while, it starts sending them faster.

It took me about seven mins to send a pic this afternoon. :-(

I think it depends on the pic size and your signal. Its gotta load it to the pic mail server then send that link to the recipient.

Hey,

ALso, anyone have issues with sound notification when you get a picmail notification? It used to be that the default text sound would play.... now it just dings... Odd...

I just use smms to send outgoing now. Sprint picture mail .cab works fine for incoming.

have you downloaded the picture mail cab? it's in software upgrades in powerdeck.
