Advanced config and Keyboard light delay
 

HTC Touch Pro -

I installed advanced config and made lots of changes that are working fine. The keyboard light change from 10 dec default to any other time, does not work.

I would like the keyboard light to stay on until I close it, is there a patch or regedit for this? thank you in advance...

no as of now it is not changeable. next time please use the search tool

Ecxcuse me! I did use the search tool.. hence the question. The tweak is in advanced config app but it doesnt work -- Nice welcome thanks--

Well it can't be done as of now. Creedin is right though, this has been mentioned several times before but I don't think he was being rude about it though.

Yes EVERYBODY wants this fixed but its been discussed at great lenth on this board and there is no fix to extended it past the mere 5 or 10 seconds it does. Cant believe they would make a phone with this type of limitation

he wasn't. it's just that so many people have that as a mantra these days, it gets quite annoying. "please search next time".....

we do search. whether or not it's a lousy search engine or we suck as searchers, sometimes we'd like to see a simple, nice answer instead of the all famous ending "please search next time"....

I installed the Advance Thread Configuration Tool on my machine...and it's now moving this thread to the general Touch Pro Forum.

And please everyone chill out.

If you're new to our site then we welcome you...and chances are that if you've thought about it, had your phone do it, or want your phone to do it...that there is a thread or two that discusses your subject.

It's a question of how long are your words. You can also use the asterisk (*) as a wildcard character.

So you can search on "touch pro* keyboard light".

relax, take a deep breath and count to 10. i find that works (sometimes). i think i'm one of the most hotheaded people on this site. an unfortunate truth, i'm afraid to say. but my friend, you have it all wrong. the people on this site are not only the best of the best but for the most part they are very friendly. they want the newbees to learn the seach system (which i still haven't) and play around with it for awhile and then perhaps ask questions. now there are certain people here that no matter what, will always think you're stupid (yea yea, i'm got to catch hell for saying it but you all know it's true) but just ignore them and move ahead. i could give you the names of some of the very best here but there are just too many to name off. you're learn who to pay attention to and who to ignore. the thing is, just relax and give it chance here. i think you'll come to think of these people as family.

Well, hope floats, but here is where it stands, blasted form a stranger saying use the search tool, which i did, but he didnt say, did you try the search tool? no just a "do it statement", two, the search tool has a learning curve, so how do you ease into this family if every thing you do is WRONG? all of this could have been resolved by saying, hey man it cannot be done!
ALL of us are tyring to enjoy pur devices and learn. If this site doesnt want new members then they should say so, trust me, google is allot more powerful than this site will every be, and I have found more answers, without the drama on other sites..

lol, how about keyboard backlight timer touch pro, touch pro keyboard light... you don't need to type full sentences, this isn't askjeeves or anything fancy.
oh, and about your thoughts on google being more helpful than this site. here's the catch to that statement. 99% of what you'll find in google was discovered by somebody either here, or at xda, and that's really it. so to make a statement that google is more powerful, all you'll be doing is stressing your less than average search engine abilities to find the useful information that the people from this site have come up with. so good luck with google... if you can't use the search engine here, i can't imagine you using a search engine anywhere.

Im very relaxed, but thank you for the comment :) It's the best site information wise I have found, as far as being welcomed into a community (i.e.) FORUM,, it blows! :) The good news is one only has to read and NOT comment to get info, excluding the search tool which is retarded.

Look we all need to chill with this, its really not that serious people. As for the original poster, some of us where just trying to help and maybe it came out the wrong way or you took it the wrong way, in either case if you respond in a negative manner that makes you just as bad as the people that may have responded in the wrong way to begin with. I for one didn't think I responded negatively, I was just trying to help. We all use to be n00bs at some point and maybe some of us have forgotten that but this site is a wonderful website and quite frankly if it wasn't for ppcgeeks I probably would have fired sprint along time ago.
